RunPod

GPU pods and serverless GPU endpoints.

Best for: Inference APIs that scale to zero, and quick GPU pods for development.

Workflow: a client calls your own gateway, which authenticates each request and calls a RunPod serverless endpoint on Secure Cloud with endpoint authentication; Community Cloud is kept out of sensitive work.
The request path on RunPod: put your own gateway and identity in front, use endpoint authentication, and keep sensitive work on Secure Cloud. Serverless workers scale with requests; Community Cloud hosts are third parties.

AI services

  • Pods on Secure Cloud (datacentre partners) or Community Cloud.
  • Serverless GPU endpoints that scale with requests, and Instant Clusters for multi-node work.

GPUs and accelerators

  • A broad range of NVIDIA and AMD GPUs, from RTX cards to H100 and newer.

Agents and identity

  • API keys and endpoint authentication; put your own gateway and identity in front.

Security and data

  • Use Secure Cloud for anything sensitive; Community Cloud hosts are third parties.

Scaling and optimisation

  • Serverless workers scale up and down automatically; set minimum workers to avoid cold starts.

UK and EU regions

Data centres in Europe and North America; choose regions per workload.

Watch out for

Cold starts on serverless endpoints; image size and model loading time matter.

How Workstation helps: We package models for fast cold starts, put authenticated gateways in front, and wire endpoints into CI/CD.
